Characters in Color

My unique characters emerge from a lively, multi-phase process.

In the early stages, I start with a discovery, inspiration phase, which then gently transitions into the heart of the artwork. It's the vital stage: the drawing phase! Black ink is my preference here. It demands all alertness and vitality - inspirational source to come out of hiding, so that an authentic, sincere character comes to light and eventually manifests.

If color is desired, the next step is to digitally color a drawing and to experiment until it results in great happiness. The color phase is definitely fun, too, since the characters look and feel can be changed in seconds.
