The River Elbe (Czech: Labe) ranks among the main rivers of Central Europe.
In quest of poetry and wonder, having "Panta rhei" in mind, I engaged myself in this phenomenon. I set out to find the source of the river. I wanted to be where that river flows into the sea. And, of course, I would not want to miss lots of places I visited between spring and mouth of the river.
The River Elbe originates in Czech Republic, then traversing Germany and eventually flowing into the North Sea at Cuxhaven.
The photographs were all taken during expeditions along the European river in 2007 and 2008.
